Are all your cartoons original illustrations?
Yes - Allan creates the complete cartoons from scratch and they are protected by copyright.
And do you sell these originals?
Some of them yes. As special commissions for people who want a one off.
Others though are kept as our own portfolio and we hand personalise limited edition prints from them, as gifts, collectors items, or mementoes.
Others are commissioned for companies and we supply limited edition prints.
Are your cartoons computer generated?
No. Absolutely not, each cartoon is an original creation.
Do you do caricatures?
No, the cartoons are personalised in other ways eg banners in the cartoon, signs, captions etc.
Are all your cartoons in colour?
In the main yes. Allan prefers to work in water-colour particularly for limited edition print commissions - but he does enjoy illustrating in black and white for brochures, or instruction books and other printed productions.
For what purpose have your cartoons been presented?
Here are some of the occasions for which we have been commissioned to create original cartoons or limited prints personalised to individuals.

Yes sometimes - unless we have a mind blank!
Or Allan is equally happy knocking ideas about.
At the end of the day it's all about getting the cartoon right and it doesn't matter where the idea comes from!
Are you able to work to our instructions?
Yes there is great enjoyment in illustrating situations in a humorous way.
That's the whole point of cartooning!
Do you supply your cartoons framed?
If you wish yes. We believe the end product must be beautifully presented for either a gift or a corporate memento.
There are however occasions when it is more logical to present limited editions mounted but unframed. For postal purposes for instance.

What do your cartoons cost?
Each commission is different so it is very difficult to say but cartoons may be created to a budget.
Originals are priced separately and corporate limited editions are priced according to quantity.
One off prints from our own portfolio may be personalised from as little as £25 each. For corporate days where higher quantities may be required we are able to quote special prices.
What other purpose may your cartoons be used for?
You name it - We do it - for Logos, Posters, Corporate Identities, Book Illustrations, Gifts, Mementoes, Anniversaries, Birthdays, Corporate Entertainment Days, and Company Christmas Cards.
Why is your website called uk cartoonists?
These is purely a generic term to reflect our core business activity.
Has anyone ever tried to copy your cartoons?
Yes more than once and we have taken legal action to stop them.
